[Latex2rtf-users] l2rshell.exe

Dear latex2rtf users,

I just downloaded latex2rtf into my pc Windows7.  When going directly into Program Files(x86)/latex2rtf folder I just double click the GUI l2rshell.exe but nothing happens other an empty icon in programs bar at the bottom of the screen.  In other words the GUI does not actually open.  Any help or hint  on the issue would be appreciated.

With nothing more than this short description I can only guess.

The fact that latex2rtf is installed in 'Program Files(x86)' lets me
assume that your win7 system is 64 bit.
I (the one who compiles and packs latex2rtf for Windows) don't have
access to a 64bit system, so I cannot test it on a 64bit system.
So the cause of your problem could be an incompatibility with the 64bit
system, although you are the first one who mentions such a problem and
probably not the first one who installs latex2rtf on a 64bit windows.

If other users successfully run latex2rtf on 64bit windows, please let
us know!

Another cause could be that the program is blocked by the antivirus
software on your system. Do you have an antivirus software installed,
and if yes, which one?

Dear Wilfried and Users,

Thanks you (the one that compiles and packs latex2rtf for Windows) for your response.  When click on Latex2rtf icon on Desktop go to Properties then Shortcut Tab then on Run chose Normal Window.  For some reason I had it on Run as Minimized which of course had it minimized and unusable all the time.  I appreciate your help.  And let me you, I am astonished how well the translation from Latex (MikTex) works, even the references where translated correctly.  Great!
